The Snappi Nappy Fastener offers an easy and hygienic way to secure nappies, and is much faster and easier to use than pins.

The Snappi provides a nicely balanced secure fastening, to help give the nappy a great fit to ensure containment.


  • Stretch the Snappi fastener before its first use. The stretching triggers the ‘memory’ of the Snappi to return to its original size, and in doing so, will pull the nappy to the middle to allow for a snug fit. It also makes it more pliable/elastic and therefore easier to use. This is essential for the Snappi to work properly.
  • To attach hold the nappy with one hand and attach the Snappi with the other. Hook the Snappi to the left of the nappy then to the right and then pull tightly down in the centre to form a Y shape.
  • Do not pull on the loops of the Snappi when attaching, as this can cause breakage. These loops serve as a safety feature only - use the flat, solid tabs for leverage.
  • Snappis work best with a terry style nappy such as a prefold, flat or fitted nappy - they need to be able to grip the fabric to remain securely in place. Washable cloth diapers made of microfibre or hemp cloth may not work as well with Snappis since they do not have a weave for the fasteners to grip onto.

    • Do not launder with nappies in the washer, as the grips could damage the nappies


    • Snappis are not toys - keep out of children’s reach when not in use
    • Inspect the Snappi before each use - discontinue use immediately if there is any sign of cracking, tearing, breakage or wear of any parts
    • Replace the Snappi if there is any physical damage or weak spots
    • Do NOT use a Snappi on a child who is able to undo it or remove their nappy/nappy cover/clothing
    • Snappis should only be fastened by an adult
    • Use a cover over a Snappi fastener
    • Do not leave your Snappi in the sun for extended periods as this can eventually weaken the Snappi
    • Pull the ring over the teeth of the fastener to avoid getting pricked when the fastener is handled

    babytaxi deliveries will not have a tracking number/reference, but will be delivered in the afternoon, after store closing time.

    Australia Wide Delivery

    babyshop provides Flat Rate delivery ($9.95) Australia wide, from Newcastle NSW via Australia Post. babyshop offers FREE DELIVERY for all orders over $150.00.

    Orders for 'In Stock' items are dispatched the day of receipt (business days only) where the order is received by us with payment before 3pm AEST.

    Once your order has been dispatched, regular Australia Post delivery times apply.

    International Delivery

    babyshop can deliver to select international countries.

    To enquire if we are able to deliver to your country, and for international shipping and insurance rates, please e-mail us at and we will quote you on the cost of shipping to your country.

    International shipping is not currently an available option for ordering via our website.

    Please keep in mind that postage overseas can be quite expensive for heavy items (such as bedding and linen) and some items are too large to be sent overseas.

    Return Options

    If for any reason a product is unsuitable, please return the item within 30 days and we will provide an exchange or refund of the purchase price. Postage and handling charges are not refundable.

    To return or exchange an item, please contact us via email at with the following information when requesting to return an item:

    - Order number
    - Product name
    - Reason for return
    - Return for replacement, exchange or refund

    We will provide you with a Return Authorisation Number (RAN#) and instructions for where to send the package.

    All returned products must be in their original sale condition (unused or soiled) with all packaging, tags, labels, manuals and registration cards still attached and included.

    Please ensure that returned products are repackaged with care, so that they are in a suitable condition to be re-sold.

    Returns of purchases made in store must have a receipt if a refund is required. If no receipt is provided, proof of purchase from our store is required, and an exchange only will be offered.

    Please note, there are several types of goods that are exempt from being returned:

    - Perishable goods (e.g. food)
    - Intimate or sanitary goods
    - Health or personal care items (especially if they have been opened or unsealed)
    - Gift cards/vouchers
    - Books, CDs, DVDs (which have been unsealed or show obvious signs of use)

    We reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange if items are returned used, soiled or damaged.

    Refunds will be processed to your original method of payment.

    If you receive an item that is damaged or defective, please contact us and we will provide separate instructions for return, refund or replacement.
