Description

The HugMe Blanket (previously called the Baby Tuck Sheet) is a TOG-rated firm-fitting mattress sleeve that provides added security and comfort after tucking baby into a bassinet for sleep.

Designed for newborns, it provides a safer alternative to loose blankets, and can be used in conjunction with a fitted swaddle or sleeping bag (available separately).

Each side of the HugMe Blanket is TOG-rated; simply flip the sheet over to adjust the warmth and follow the included Bedding Temperature guide for help with layering. The zips allow adjustment of two levels of firmness (tightness), to find the perfect fit for baby's size, or strength of startle reflex.

Newborns who don't like to be swaddled may find the firmness of the HugMe Blanket comforting in lieu of sleeping with their arms in.


How to use:

  1. Slip the HugMe Blanket over the end of baby's mattress.
  2. Dress baby in their sleepwear
  3. Unzip the HugMe Blanket, lay baby under the open folds, with their feet touching the end of the bassinet
  4. Zip up the sheet, to the desired firmness - you should easily be able to zip up the sheet, and firmly fit two fingers between the sheet and baby
    Once zipped up, ensure the sheet does not come up higher than the middle of baby's chest - ff it is coming up higher, tuck more of the sheet under the mattress until the right length is achieved
  5. Unzip the sheet to remove baby
  6. Discontinue use once baby shows signs of rolling over

Bassinet - 44cm wide x 45cm high - The product will stretch to fit over most bassinet mattresses, however it will not fit a circular shaped mattress.

  • 55% Bamboo viscose / 40% GOTS certified organic cotton / 5% elastane


0.2 TOG (cool) HugMe side

  • 95% GOTS certified organic cotton / 5% elastane

Safety:

  • The HugMe Blanket has been stringently tested and approved as safe by leading independent infant safety organisation INPAA
  • When using the right size for your baby's length and sleep environment, the HugMe Blanket will not come up higher than mid-way up baby's chest following Red Nose safe sleep guidelines
  • Given the design of the product, the HugMe Blanket cannot become untucked from the mattress, be pulled up near baby's face, or be classified as loose bedding in any way
  • If baby does manage to get their legs out of the HugMe Blanket, it will simply lie flat on the mattress
  • Please do not use the HugMe Blanket once baby shows signs of rolling over

This updated approach allows us to group deliveries by area - helping us get your order to you as efficiently as possible.

Our Newcastle Delivery area is south to Swansea, north to Stockton and west to Toronto.

Delivery Terms

  • Orders ship within 1-2 business days from when payment is received
  • If there is an issue with any items in your order, we will contact you via email or text, prior to dispatch
  • An email update will be sent once your package has been dispatched
  • Australia Post packages will contain a tracking number to track the delivery
  • babytaxi deliveries will not have a tracking number/reference, but will be delivered in the afternoon, after store closing time (Monday-Friday, excluding public holidays).
  • Orders will be sent to the delivery address that you have submitted with the order - we cannot be held responsible if that delivery address is incorrect.
  • Any orders returned to us, due to an incorrect delivery address or unclaimed through the post office, will be refunded for the product component only.
Return Options


If for any reason a product is unsuitable, please return the item within 30 days and we will provide an exchange or refund of the purchase price. Postage and handling charges are not refundable.

To return or exchange an item, please contact us via email at sales@babyshop.com.au with the following information when requesting to return an item:

- Order number
- Product name
- Reason for return
- Return for replacement, exchange or refund

We will provide you with return instructions for where to send the package.

All returned products must be in their original sale condition (unused or soiled) with all packaging, tags, labels, manuals and registration cards still attached and included.

Please ensure that returned products are repackaged with care, so that they are in a suitable condition to be re-sold.

Returns of purchases made in store must have a receipt if a refund is required. If no receipt is provided, proof of purchase from our store is required, and an exchange only will be offered.

Please note, there are several types of goods that are exempt from being returned:

- Perishable goods (e.g. food)
- Intimate or sanitary goods
- Health or personal care items (especially if they have been opened or unsealed)
- Gift cards/vouchers
- Books, CDs, DVDs (which have been unsealed or show obvious signs of use)

We reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange if items are returned used, soiled or damaged.

Refunds will be processed to your original method of payment.

If you receive an item that is damaged or defective, please contact us and we will provide separate instructions for return, refund or replacement. Please email sales@babyshop.com.au for details before sending the product back to us, as some manufacturers may prefer to deal directly with the customer for their quality control and warranty purposes.
