Hydramama: Hydration Support for Pregnancy, Breastfeeding and Beyond

Hydramama: Hydration Support for Pregnancy, Breastfeeding and Beyond

Everyone tells you to drink more water when you're pregnant or feeding. Nobody tells you how, especially when the glass you poured this morning is still sitting warm on the bench. Mini + Me Hydramama is a zero sugar hydration drink made to make reaching for your water bottle a lot more appealing.

It's proudly endorsed by the Australian College of Midwives, comes in ten flavours and is designed to support parents through preconception, pregnancy, breastfeeding and the months that follow.

Why Hydramama?

Made with real parents at the centre

Some days you're doing everything right and drinking enough water still slides to the bottom of the list. Plain water can feel like a chore when you need a lot of it.

Hydramama turns that chore into something to look forward to. Each sachet mixes into a clean, refreshing drink with electrolytes and added vitamins, and it's simple enough to become part of your daily routine without any extra thinking.

What's Inside

Electrolytes, vitamins and zero sugar

Hydramama blends sodium, potassium and magnesium with Vitamin B6, Vitamin C and methylated folate. It's gluten free, dairy free, vegan and made with natural colours and flavours.

The sweetness comes from erythritol, a sugar substitute found naturally in some fruits and fermented foods. Mini + Me chose it for its clean taste with no aftertaste, its low glycaemic index and its good digestive tolerance.

Key nutrients in every sachet

  • Magnesium + minerals (sodium + potassium): magnesium supports electrolyte balance and normal nerve and muscle function, and contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue
  • Vitamin C: contributes to energy metabolism, immune system function and connective tissue function
  • Vitamin B6: contributes to normal energy metabolism, nervous system function, red blood cell formation and the regulation of hormonal activity
  • Methylated folate: 50µg of bioavailable folate per serve (25% RDI), which contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy and normal blood formation

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, considering it for a child, have an underlying health condition or take medications or supplements, check with your healthcare professional before use
  • It's a formulated beverage when made up as directed, made in line with the Food Standards Code for Australia and New Zealand
  • Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight

The Flavours

Ten flavours means there's no reason to get bored. Cola and Peach Iced Tea are favourites in our store, and a box of something fruity makes a lovely addition to a hospital bag or a new mum gift.

Hydramama FAQs

Is Hydramama suitable for pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Yes, following advice from your healthcare professional. It's endorsed by the Australian College of Midwives, and Mini + Me recommend chatting with your midwife or doctor if you have any questions about whether it's right for you.

Does it replace my prenatal vitamin?

No. Hydramama is designed to complement your existing routine. If you're unsure what's right for you during pregnancy or breastfeeding, check with your healthcare professional.

How many can I have a day?

Mini + Me recommend up to four sachets a day as part of your daily fluid intake, each mixed into 250 to 600mL of water. If you have specific health concerns or questions about your fluid intake, your midwife or healthcare professional is the best person to ask.

Can I drink it if I'm not pregnant or breastfeeding?

Absolutely. Hydramama is a sugar free formulated beverage suitable for the whole family, following advice from your healthcare professional. Plenty of people drink it simply because they love the taste and it makes plain water more appealing.

Is Hydramama gluten free and vegan?

Yes to both. It's gluten free, dairy free, plant based and made without any animal derived ingredients, using natural colours and flavours.

Why does it use erythritol?

Erythritol is a naturally occurring sugar substitute found in some fruits, vegetables and fermented foods. Mini + Me chose it because it has no aftertaste, a low glycaemic index and good digestive tolerance compared with other sugar substitutes. It's what keeps Hydramama sugar free while still tasting great.

Can I add sparkling water?

Yes. Start with no more than 100mL of sparkling water in your glass, then pour in the sachet and stir. It fizzes up as it dissolves, so a small amount first helps avoid spills. Top up with more sparkling water once it settles.

"Finally, a reason to finish the water bottle you filled at 6am."
