AUSTRALIAN DELIVERY INFORMATION

How is postage and handling calculated?

Australian orders have a flat rate delivery charge of $8.95 AUD (GST inclusive) 
- excluding Newcastle Local Area (see below)
This charge is applicable to deliveries Australia wide, regardless of the number of items ordered or the dollar value of the order.
The postage and handling fee covers packing, handling and insurance to ensure that your order arrives safe and sound. A separate charge is payable for each delivery address.

NO MINIMUM ORDER VALUE FOR FREE DELIVERY

Qualifying Newcastle orders have the postage and handling charge manually deducted from the order
prior to processing and delivery - no need to quote or enter a special code.

How do you deliver?

We deliver to you by either Australia Post Receipted Delivery or courier.
 

How long should I allow for delivery?


Most orders are dispatched within 1-2 working days after receipt of your order and/or payment.

The majority of orders are dispatched via Australia Post Receipted Delivery.

Once items are dispatched, regular Australia Post delivery times apply - all orders are despatched from Newcastle NSW.

If we are unable to dispatch your order within 1-2 working days (due to either product unavailablity, order volume or we are unable to process your payment) we will email you to advise and/or seek further instructions. If you have not heard from us within the above timeframe, please either check your email 'spam' filter/folder or contact us for more details on your order.

If you need to receive your order by a particular date, please advise in the 'Comments' section upon checkout, and we will advise if this is not possible.

You may also find out the status of your order by clicking the "Your Account" button located at the top right of each page or please phone or e-mail us in need. The order status in your Account is updated before the close of business AEST, each working day.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY INFORMATION

Do you deliver overseas?

Yes, we can deliver to selected countries overseas.

To enquire if we are able to deliver to your country, and for international postage, handling and insurance rates, please e-mail us at
sales@babyshop.com.au and we will quote you on the cost of shipping to your country.

Please keep in mind that postage overseas can be quite expensive for heavy items (such as bedding and linen) and some items are too large to be sent overseas (e.g. highchairs).

When compiling an order on-line for international delivery, the Australia wide $8.95 delivery charge is the default which appears on all orders. After receipt of an international order, you will be sent a detailed quotation providing the cost for different delivery options, and with amended totals after the removal of the Australia Goods and Services Tax (GST) - see below for further details.

International orders do not proceed until we receive confirmation of amended charges and delivery preference, or alternatively notice that you wish to cancel the order.

Given the current international climate, there are some countries we are unable to provide delivery to. We will advise where this is applicable. Prices do not include duty or taxes applicable to the country the goods are being sent to.

What is effect of GST on international purchases?

As the GST is a tax on final private consumption in Australia, items which are not for consumption in Australia are not subject to the GST. Purchases to be delivered to overseas addresses are considered exports and are exempt from GST. Upon placement of an order to be dispatched overseas, we will deduct the GST from your order and confirm total postage payable via return email, for your approval.

CURRENCY CONVERSION

All prices displayed on our website are in Australian Dollars - $AUD.

Charges are processed to all credit cards in Australian Dollars.

For International Credit Card holders, charges will be converted by your credit card provider to your currency, at their prevailing exchange rate.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Goods and Services Tax (GST)
On 1 July 2000 a "Goods and Services Tax" was introduced in Australia. Prices displayed on www.babyshop.com.au from this date include 10% GST. Deneng Pty Ltd trading as The Baby Shop Online has registered for the GST and has obtained an Australian Business Number (ABN) which is - 15 001 501 097. Invoices comply with the GST tax invoice requirements and include our ABN on the tax invoice accordingly.

How can I pay for my order?

We accept Visa Card, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club cards.

If you are ordering by mail, you can also pay by cheque, money order or gift voucher. Cheques and money orders should be made payable to - The Baby Shop Online.

Where the payment option "Mail Order" is chosen, your order will not be forwarded until your payment is received. Returned cheques are subject to applicable bank fees.

We are also able to accept payment via direct deposit to our bank account, please contact us and we can provide you with the relevant details.
All payments must be made in, and will be processed in Australian Dollars.

When choosing to pay by mail, please contact us to advise that your payment has been forwarded and you wish to proceed with you order, so that any Clearance or Limited Stock items can be put aside for you and withdrawn from sale. This is unfortunately necessary, due to the large number of mail orders we receive where payment is not forwarded.

When is my credit card charged?

All credit cards are authorised the day your order is received, and processed the day items are dispatched.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Gift vouchers can be redeemed against any items in our store and they make a great
gift idea.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Gift Vouchers are non-refundable and not returnable
  • Gift Vouchers can only be used once and may not be redeemed for cash
  • Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue
  • Gift Vouchers are redeemable online at www.babyshop.com.au or in our store
  • Gift Vouchers may not be redeemed for the purchase of further Gift Vouchers
  • Gift Vouchers are in Australian Dollars $AUD
  • Gift Voucher are redeemable within Australia only

A BABYSHOP GIFT VOUCHER CAN BE REDEEMED AS FOLLOWS:

By phone:
Call us on 1800 222 437 (10am to 4pm Monday-Friday, 10am to 2pm Saturday AEDT)
and quote code your Gift Voucher number, and Voucher amount.
By Internet:
When your order has been compiled online, and you are ready to process,
select PLACE ORDER NOW.

    The gift voucher number should NOT be entered as a PROMOTIONAL CODE, the voucher number will be taken at the payment stage, next.

Once you are at the payment page, you can choose the following payment options:


Postal Order Form


This will display your order on a page which can be printed.

Credit card details can be faxed or mailed on this form, a cheque or money order
attached, or details are provided for payment to our Westpac Bank Account.

You can also select this option if the total of your Gift Voucher and order total
are the same – i.e. no additional payment is required.

Please type your Gift Voucher Number and Amount into the
“Delivery notes or comments” section, and provide alternate payment for the difference (where applicable)


Credit Card


You will remain on the Secure server and will be transferred to a page for
submitting your credit card details for payment.

These details are encrypted and sent to us securely.
Please type your Gift Voucher Number and Amount into the
“Delivery notes or comments” section.

Your gift voucher will be manually verified and removed from your order total.
The amended total, once the value of your Gift Voucher has been deducted
from your order, will be the amount charged to your credit card.

RETURNS POLICY

We want you to be satisfied with everything you purchase from The Baby Shop Online.

If a product is unsuitable, please return it to us with postage paid, in original condition within 14 days of receipt and we will exchange the item(s) or refund the purchase price. Postage and handling charges are not refundable.

To return or exchange an item please follow the steps listed below:-

with the following information when requesting to return an item:-

1. Order number
2. Product name
3. Reason for return
4. Return for replacement, exchange or refund

We will contact you with a Return Authorisation Number (RAN#) and instructions on how and where to send the package.
Please remember that all returned products must be in the original condition (unused or soiled) with all packing material, manuals and registration card(s).
Please ensure that returned products are re-packaged with care, so that they are in suitable condition to be re-sold.

We reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange if items are returned used, soiled or damaged.
Please note:-  All returns must have an RAN number.

If you receive an item that is damaged or defective, please contact us and we will provide separate instructions for return, refund or replacement.
